Understanding Christmas: What It Means to You

Understanding Christmas: What It Means to You

, by Gemma Mosby, 2 min reading time

Isn't it amazing how your mindset can switch over night from the 30th November as you wake up on the 1st December with an automatic festive fuzzy feeling, a warm glow and feeling of hope and joy (well we do)!

The promise of starry cold nights, cosying up in front of the fire with your soon-to-be new slippers on..the well intentioned attempt at those home made mince pies.. Christmas carols in your local church, town square or even on your neighbours' doorstep..cinnamon and spice infused everything..the counting of sleeps before the big man makes his debut to fill those readily hung stockings..the actual day with all its anticipation, preparation and ceremony.. What a magical, traditional, hopeful 12th month we are in!

For us it's also about remembering loved ones passed as we focus on creating new end of year memories with our special people..raising a glass (or two) to everyone that graces our lives with positivity and laughter.. and also remembering that the people around us are precious, that time is flying by, another year is on its way and our time here is not infinite..

So we must celebrate.. we must party.. and we reminisce, at the same time as looking forward to what we all hope will be the best Christmas of all Christmasses and an even better New Year!

If you're still looking for those last minute and few extra Christmas decorations to fill the final gaps around your living space, check out our beautiful selection of wreaths, baubles, bells, robins, mistletoe and more to provide that extra touch of sparkle and independently handmade delight.

And then there's the present shopping list - where to start, who to buy for, such an expensive month to budget for all those gifts. But that's where we can certainly help with our extensive, unique and affordable curation of home decor accessories, bed and bath products, table linens, home fragrance, one-off objets and ornaments, hand made ceramics, stoneware, wall art, cushions and throws.

And with our strong focus on supporting independent, family run craftsmen and artisans and home started small businesses here in the UK, many of our products have been made by hand, using recycled, sustainable materials which not only makes you a conscious, caring shopper but also means you will be purchasing something truly individual, eclectic and not at all mass produced.

Wishing you all a Merry Christmas and a Bright and Bountiful New Year x
